【GGR Intensive Seminar】Countering Disinformation and Protecting Democracy: Follow-Up Session: The 10th Zoom Meeting

On April 14, 2024, the Institute for Global Governance Research (GGR) held the 10th Zoom meeting as part of the GGR Intensive Seminar entitled “Countering Disinformation and Protecting Democracy” held in February 2023. The participants of the GGR intensive seminar are currently working on developing essays on strategies to combat dis(mis)information based on the outcomes of the seminar. During this meeting, the Okinawa Group and the Japan-Korea Group presented draft essays outlining their approaches to tackling disinformation, and discussions were held to refine these drafts. The meeting was attended by 6 participants from the GGR intensive seminar, Professor Maiko Ichihara (the Graduate School of Law and the School of International and Public Policy), and one GGR research assistant. GGR plans to continue holding regular meetings to discuss papers on other topics.
