【About the lecturer】

Yoshihiro Nakanishi

Yoshihiro Nakanishi is an expert in Southeast Asian politics. His study has primarily focused on Myanmar, examining topics such as civil-military relations, ethnic and religious conflicts, judicial politics, Asian foreign relations, and modern state-building in British Burma. His publications include Strong Soldiers, Failed Revolution – The State and Military in Burma, 1962-88 (the National University of Singapore Press); The Rohingya Crisis (Chuokoron Shinsha) (in Japanese), and Contemporary Politics of Myanmar (Iwanami Shoten) (in Japanese). He holds a Ph.D. from Kyoto University.
