On 2 December 2023, the Institute for Global Governance Research (GGR) invited activists from Japan, Hong Kong, Myanmar, and Thailand to the first Milk Tea Alliance (MTA) Japan strategy meeting. People working for freedom and human rights in these countries attended, including civil society activists, former legislators, artists, filmmakers, journalists, etc. Participants discussed the current situation in each country, activities in Japan, and the need to attract the attention of the international society.
