On May 21, 2023, the Institute for Global Governance Research (GGR) held the 1st Zoom meeting as a part of the GGR Intensive Seminar entitled “Countering Disinformation and Protecting Democracy” held in February of the same year. The seminar participants are preparing papers on countering disinformation, drawing on what they learned from the seminar. At the meeting, the participants discussed a draft paper on countermeasures against vaccine disinformation. About 10 participants and Professor Maiko Ichihara, GGR Researcher and Professor of the Graduate School of Law and the School of International and Public Policy, attended the meeting and exchanged their opinions on the draft elaboration.
