In March 2025, “Chinese Law,” authored by Professor Makoto Tajimi (Graduate School of Law), was published in Law and Society: Gateway to Basic Science of Law. This book provides commentary on a wide variety of basic law fields. Professor Tajimi provides on the subject of personality rights stipulated in the Chinese Civil Code, providing an overview of the provisions, clarifying the significance and purpose of personality rights, and examining and explaining the meaning of person in Chinese law.
