On February 16, 2025, the Institute for Global Governance Research (GGR) held the third Milk Tea Alliance Japan strategy meeting. The meeting was conducted in Japanese, and brought together activists, journalists, and artists from Japan, Hong Kong, and Myanmar, all currently residing in Japan. At the beginning of the meeting, the secretariat provided a report on past activities and explained requests for cooperation from other organizations. This was followed by participants presenting updates on their recent activities. In the final session, there was a lively discussion on key issues that the Milk Tea Alliance Japan should address moving forward, as well as strategies for public outreach.
