About the speaker:
He earned his B.A (English) from Yangon University and master in public policy (MPP) from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He worked at Department of English, Yangon University from 1991-1995 and also worked with diplomatic missions, International NGOs and donor agencies for more than ten years in various capacities. In 2008, he founded an organization called Sandhi Governance Institute with the purpose of nurturing leadership for promoting good governance (SGI) and since that time he is working as an executive director of this organization. SGI used to organize political leadership, governance and public policy, public-private partnership and various political trainings for regional parliaments’ members, political parties and civil society organizations before the coup on February 2021. Currently, SGI is organizing local governance, emergency preparedness trainings among others for People’s Administration Teams (PAT) in Sagaing region and Khine Win works as resource person for National Democratic Institute (NDI) and The Asia Foundation (TAF) to conduct fiscal fedealism training. His main interests include civil society development, local governance, economic development, public sector reform, public- private partnership (PPP) and democratization.
